Please join us in welcoming a close friend and colleague of Dat’s, Joseph Fong, RA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, Associate at Walter P. Moore‘s Diagnostic Group. Joe is a much sought after speaker traveling all over the continent giving talks about performance modeling for building envelope design.
The session title is a bit generic, but here’s the detailed agenda packed full of great topics, information and graphics.
Title: Building Performance Modeling Tools
Description: To understand how different modeling tools enhance the value of building performance (i.e. energy usage, daylighting, thermal comfort, and condensation, etc.) for the building envelope design and construction.
Course Objectives:
• Discuss the basics of building science for modeling tools
• Understand how Energy Codes influence the performance based design
• Identify which performance modeling tools are available for building envelope applications
• Recognize the appropriate performance modeling tools in different design stages
